Argyle Urgent Care

At the heart of our service to the Argyle community is the treatment (or referral) of urgent emergency situations. In minor emergencies situations, meaning anywhere from a cut to a fracture, we can typically diagnose and treat the issue on the same day you call us. We have an on-site digital x-ray and can often obtain a CT scan or MRI within the same day should they prove necessary.

The experience you’ll find at Rapid Med is very different than a typical emergency room or doctor’s office. We focus on treating each patient, not each condition, so you get personalized care and explanations for every procedure. This starts with our sign-in process: Rapid Med does not take appointments for Argyle urgent care so you never have to wait in line! Just give us a call or use our online sign in and we will let you know when a doctor can see you (usually an hour or two) and you can show up and be seen right away. This lets you wait in the comfort of your own home rather than a cold waiting room.

Dr. Gomez
Dr. John Gomez was born in Venezuela but spent most of his childhood in Texas, his father a Spaniard and mother American. After working a few years as a full time emergency physician in a few hospitals, Dr. Gomez noted and came to dislike the inefficiencies and near total lack of personalization required to practice the best medicine. He developed a perspective that medical care, even when an emergency, should be patient centered and streamlined and it was with this vision that he began Rapid-Med. Dr. Gomez maintains a special interest in ultrasound and sports medicine with emphasis on concussion management. He currently serves on the L.I.S.D. Concussion Oversight Team (COT) as physician advisor and enjoys his close relationship with the local athletic trainers and Flower Mound High School.
