Rapid Med Urgent Care Center is currently seeking a flexible and driven MEDICAL ASSISTANT/EMT to join our award-winning team (Best of Denton County since 2013). We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the highest priority. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a clinical care setting, willing to be a team player, reliable, and patient-focused.

duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Triaging patients
  • Collection and processing of lab specimens
  • EKG
  • Assisting with wound care
  • Splinting/Casting
  • Suture removal
  • Drug testing
  • Injections
  • Phlebotomy
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Urgent Care/ER experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Medical terminology
  • The ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Must be able to prioritize in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Completion of medical assistant training program

  • Must be professional, caring, and compassionate
  • Must exhibit a congenial and sensitive attitude toward patients
  • Must exhibit behavior which emphasizes quality, loyalty and conscientiousness
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, and staff members
