Rapid Med Urgent Care Center is currently seeking a flexible and MEDICAL ASSISTANT/EMT to join our award-winning team (Best of Denton County since 2013). We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the highest priority. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a clinical care setting, willing to be a team player, reliable, and patient-focused.

Our clinic provides the support and necessary training to thrive in the medical industry. All of our medical assistants are trained through our proprietary system which includes both educational materials and on-the-job experience. We believe a strong foundation allows our staff to become more effective as a team, but also provides them with the tools necessary to grow as a healthcare professional.

duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Triaging patients
  • Collection and processing of lab specimens
  • EKG
  • Assisting with wound care
  • Splinting/Casting
  • Suture removal
  • Drug testing
  • Injections
  • Phlebotomy
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Medical terminology
  • The ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Must be able to prioritize in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Completion of medical assistant training program
  • Urgent Care/ER experience is a plus

  • Must exhibit a congenial and sensitive attitude toward patients
  • Must exhibit behavior which emphasizes quality, loyalty and conscientiousness
