Rapid Med Urgent Care Center is currently seeking two flexible and driven Medical Office Assistants to join our award-winning team (Best of Denton County since 2013). Patient care is of our highest priority. If you are driven, dedicated, compassionate, and hard-working, Rapid Med is the place for you! You are unique in that you are part of the team of “first impression carriers” who will greet and help patients check into our facility.

You will perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and updating patient accounts. This keeps our fast-paced medical facility running smoothly and helps maintain the high level of customer service our patients have come to expect.

duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Greets patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments online, in person or by telephone
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of patient's arrival; reviews service delivery compared to schedule; reminds provider of service delays
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answers patients' questions and refers inquiries
  • Files and retrieves treatment information in patient records as needed
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges
  • Checks stock of business office supplies and equipment to determine inventory level; places and expedites supply orders when needed; verifies receipt of delivered supplies
  • Documents patient's credit or balance due; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims
  • Schedules equipment service and repairs; verifies when repairs have been completed
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Performs other duties as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ideally has medical office experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understands Medical terminology
  • Organize and perform multiple tasks
  • Prioritize duties in a fast paced, high volume environment

  • $13.00 - 15.00 / hour
