Job Description

Rapid Med Urgent Care Center is currently seeking a full-time, driven Physician Assistant to join our award-winning team (Best of Denton County since 2013). We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the highest priority. As a Physician Assistant, you will spend the majority of your time treating patients from 3 months to adult by providing a variety of urgent care services.

Location: Double Oak, TX and/or The Colony, TX

Hours: Full-Time. The shifts will be 7 to 12 hours, depending on needs. Rapid Med is open M-F 9 am to 8 pm, Sat and Sunday 9-5. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter and Fourth of July.

Services Offered: Allergies & rashes, evaluation of most chest pain, headaches & migraines, on-site x-rays, skin infections & abscesses, bronchitis & pneumonia, fevers – down to 4 months of age, influenza, general GYN, sore throat & strep, evaluation of acute abdominal pain, gastrointestinal infections with nausea & vomiting, on-site ultrasound diagnostics, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, eye injuries, lacerations & cuts of all sizes, foreign body removal, sprains & strains, fractures, etc. We also have a concussion department that is very involved in the community.

Requirements

  • Full-time Physician Assistant must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • BLS certification required
  • Ability & willingness to work 2.5 weekends a month
  • Ability & willingness to work rotating holidays excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter and Fourth of July.
