Andrew E. Zahorecz, MD

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine

Dr. Zahorecz was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine in Genetics, and earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Working as an Emergency Medical Technician in the busy 911 system of Los Angeles County piqued his interest in Emergency Medicine, leading to an Emergency Medicine residency was at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. Before returning to Texas in 2019, he was the Medical Director for Disaster Response at Riverside University Medical Center. He is currently the Brigade Surgeon for the Special Operations Detachment – North and has deployed with the US Army Special Operations Command in support of operations in Afghanistan where he earned the Bronze Star and Combat Medical Badge for actions in combat.

Living in the Argyle area, Urgent Care medicine keeps Dr. Zahorecz connected to his patients and his community. Outside of the healthcare setting, Dr. Zahorecz spends time with his beautiful wife and three daughters, and continues to serve in the Army National Guard.
