Rapid-Med Urgent Care Center is currently seeking a full-time, driven Physician Assistant to join our award-winning team (Best of Denton County since 2013). We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the highest priority. As a Physician Assistant, you will spend most of your time treating patients from 6 months to adult by providing a variety of urgent care services.

Hours:  Shifts will be between 8 and 12 hours, depending on needs. Rapid-Med is open M-F 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Clinically evaluate and treat children and adults for allergies and rashes, chest pain, headaches and migraines, on-site x-rays, skin infections and abscesses, bronchitis and pneumonia, fevers – down to 6 months of age, influenza, general GYN, sore throat and strep, acute abdominal pain, gastrointestinal infections with nausea and vomiting, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, eye injuries, lacerations, foreign body removal, sprains, strains, and fracture care.
  • Primary Care, Preventative Care, Travel Medicine, and On Demand services offering Virtual Visits.
  • Care is limited to patients between the ages of 6 months and 69 years old.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Full-time Physician Assistant with more than one year of experience and must be Board Certified.
  • ACLS and BLS certification are required.
  • Ability and willingness to work two weekends a month.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating holidays excluding New Year’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
